Scheline Crutchfield
Artist Biography
Inspired by her mother, artist Faye VanderVeer, Scheline's passion for painting began at an early age. She is strongly influenced by the interplay of color and light and primarily paints landscapes or light filled interiors.
Scheline works mostly in oil and pastel. She honed her skills through painting classes at the Parson's School of Design in New York and through various workshops in the US and France. Scheline's work has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles as well as in designer home shows, commercial businesses and at charitable events.
Scheline is a native of Virginia and shares her Charlottesville art studio with her four “studio dogs.”
